today morning zone alarm anti virus was showing 5 viruses after the scan , out of them 4 were quaratined and in one the default setting was delete on reboot...after rebooting no exe file is opening when i click anything the open with dialog box opens...for eg if i click microsoft word , the open with dialog box opens but if i click some doc file it opens correctly with word....
searched microsoft site for this nd they had put up tht a reg key has to be modified. since regedit is an exe tht too dint open...but it opened weni right clicked on it nd clicked Run AS ... but it says cannot edit key if i try to modify it...
i cannot open system resore too...
but can access internet nd use ie by typin the web address in my computer or any other folder...
if i click on volume controls on taskbar it says rundll.exe is missing....
totally messed up , any possible solutions i use windows XP sp2
