During the recent thunderstorm, the ethernet port for my Motorola SB5101 modem got damaged and isnt working, however the modem is functioning well with the usb port.. I need to split the USB connection across 2 computers, is that possible?? I m willing to spend upto 2k
I have tried
Connecting the USB cable from modem -> USB Female To Female Adapter -> USB HUB -> 2 USB Male 2 Male cables, however, the modem does not work when I connect the F2F connector.. Ive tried that without the hub directly
USB From Modem -> F2F connector -> Male to male (sort of like extender).. but the PC fails to recognize the modem
Also tried USB to RJ45 converter, doesnt work
What should I do ? Are there any Routers that take input from USB and not through RJ45 ?
