Wouldnt really endorse your views at all. Bass dosnt overpower any frequency at all thats the beauty of it, I own two of them both the 260 and the 260R.

not subjective, rather i would say it depends on the earphones... I use the sony xb30ex and to a certain extent they do hamper the mids, but this is not the case with my sony xb90ex..they are very well balanced

Its more about the source that you connect them to other than subjective.
A neutral source with a good DAC and without any equalization and EQ algorithms brings out the best and true characteristics of a ear/headphone ,which we all overlook.
