I would like to know if C2D E6550 is compatible with Dell Optiplex 780 or not ? Dell Optiplex 780 has Q45 chipset. FSB wont be a problem na ?

Actually I want to sell this processor and buyer wants to confirm if it will run or not. We are confused because manual of this system does not list it. Manual is @ *i.dell.com/sites/content/busi...tech-guide.pdf

either manual was printed before that processor entered the market or it was not there as it is unrelated to a professional desktop.

well it should work as chipset supports it.
