im getting a dvd writer from malaysia. ive finalised the following 4:
    NEC ND-3500A
    LG GSA-4160B
    ASUS DRW-1604P
    PIONEER DVR-108D
which ones the best if all cost approx 3k-3.5k
the lg is a bit more xpnsive bt has dvd ram support. do i really need dvd ram?

i read it it in this months... digit issue.. that pioneerDVr 108 is the best available...
even the pioneer Dvr-108 has dvd-ram support...
plus the pioneer burns DL dvd`s at 4x while the others only at 2.4x(except the asus)..
so i suggest go for the pioneer.. its the best available.. and i`m getting one too shrtly..

the only drawbakc is tht it burns CDR at 32x speed while others read it at 48x if i am not mistaken

nevertheless, it is the best writer available in the market to-day

    just go for it, dude
