dual boot problem

Right off the assembly line
i have windows xp and have 20gb unpartistin space if wnat to install redhat linux 9.0 .when it gives last
running install...
running /sbi/loader.


then it display nothing .just like that what is the prolem please help me... what i want to do....

maybe you have problem with your installation media . try installing a newer distro such as ubuntu 6.06 , SLED 10 , etc . maybe your hardware is too new For Red Hat 9 . when installing linux , select to install the boot loader in the "/" partition or "/boot" partition but not in the mbr .

RedHat Linux 9.0 is too old!! Try using Fedora Core 5, Ubuntu 6.06 or Suse 10.1 Linux.
Since RedHat 9.0 doesn't support new hardware. You better switch to the latest
Linux distros I have mentioned.
