Dual boot laptop not working!!!

My envy 15 had windows 7 64 bit home premium already installed on it. It had already 4 primary partitions, system, recovery, boot and hp tools. I deleted the hp tools partition and shrinked the size of the system partition and installed back track 5 on the new primary partition but by mistake i had shrinked it by 330 gb so i made a logical partition in the primary partition and named it extras. the other had linux. It was working fine for 2 months but i was installing auto cad 13 and runned a keygen before turning off the laptop after that whenever i start my laptop it come to flashing _ at the left top of the screen. I do not get grub loader i used to get. What should i do now. i'm ready to lose data on linux. I have run live back track 5 dvd and through gparted shoot this photo.

P:S i can access hard disk from linux

your GRUB must've been corrupted or something.re-install your linux OS to get grub back instead of "_"

Will i have to delete my extra partition. Or just format linux. And let linux swap be as it is.

no need to format, just reinstall it on that same partition.

tru recovering grub by booting from live cd. google for steps.

Yeah got success, installed on the same partition. And one more thing can i install ubuntu on the same primary partition using the same linux swap
