Download files larger than 4gb?

Is there any way i can download to ext card..
My phone is i9500 rooted.

Format the card to exFAT or NTFS.

^NTFS is not supported by Android i think.

Then don't download single files >4 GB.
Or
Try formatting to exFAT and not ext4.

I don't think that's possible unless you swap it with internal memory. Then again it'll require a fat32 formatted card. Move all the pics/videos/media content from internal memory to sd card instead to make space.
