Do I need modem or router ?

hello. I'm having 2Mbps Broadband Connection. I want Wifi.
Should I buy wifi Router or Wifi Modem Router ? ? Thank you

What is your ISP and how do you get internet connectivity? Is it through phone line or is it through cable?

if connection is through phone line(bsnl/mtnl/airtel) buy adsl wifi modem if not buy wifi router.i recommend tp-link or asus.

Buy something like the Belkin N150. It will be enough to setup a WiFi hotspot.

I believe its through Cable because even if phone line is broken Internet works.

You need to be sure. If it's coaxial cable, you will have a modem. Just connect any wireless router to it and you will be fine. Do you need to login to any special webpage before you start browsing?

you are posting here for suggestions & you don't even know the name of your broadband provider!just ask the person who pays the bill.

ISP is BSNL

I think it's ADSL. So it means that it's thru phone line. Get a WiFi modem router.

i already posted that if it is bsnl/mtnl/airtel then you need adsl wifi modem.get this as it is the best option at its price:
