Distortion in sound

My PC config is

P4 2.0 256mb RAM

Intel chip-set

Realtek AC 97 is my sound driver

my prob is that when i try to copy contents from onedrive to another or start any app. like WORd Excel or anything like Mozilla fire fox there is a long distortion in song playing in Winamp

what's fault is this

Software fault or something like worn or trojan anything ... else


Help me?

Try doin this... Open Winamp

Go to Options>Preferences>General preferences...

Check wether the priority is set to normal... Then try out...

try updating the driver software and install "INTEL APPLICATION ACCELERATOR" (should be in your motherboard CD)

I too had similar problem but it disappeared when i upgraded my sound driver software.
