Hi all,

My colleague just bought a new home pc and is having problem with the lack of new ports on the display.

his config is msi b350 m mortar, ryzen 1500x, nvidia 710 gt 2gb ddr5.

the mobo has upto display port and the card has hdmi but his monitor benq gl2460 has only vga and dvi.

Please suggest converters that will give him best performance in terms of display.

thanks
aby

Hdmi to dvi converters should be available. Ask your friend to search for those. Mobo's displayport won't work with 1500x.
thanks goku
umm why wont displayport work with 1500x? what does a processor has to do with display? is the igp in ryzen on processor die?
and the mobo specification says it supports crossfire so if he wants to upgrade his card what amd dual gpu set up should he be looking at?

Ryzen CPUs don't have iGPU. Neither does the mobo since that trend for desktop mobos is obsolete.
Crossfire is effectively dead. Single powerful GPU is better unless you want to play at 4k60p at high-ultra settings (which will require 2 1080Ti in SLI).
AMD GPUs are priced absurdly because of crypto-mining craze and low availability. It is better to go with similar priced nvidia GPUs because they would perform better and be more efficient. (Case and point someone in the forum bought a RX560/ RX 460 for about 13k for freesync while a 1050Ti and even a 1050 is better than them  )
