wat are the basic requirements to learn DirctX .
is there any reputed institute / centre to teach this API.
what is the scope and future..
how does it differentiate from OpenGL.

There are these game programming institutes but you are MUCH better off learning by yourself.

DX is a microsoft proprietary technology, it can be used only on PCs running windows and xbox. OGL is, well, open, so can be used in native linux apps too. DX>>OGL as OGL is like 20 years old.

What? You mean OpenGL right?
DX is more accepted because M$ is backing it up. Look at OpenGL, it works on virtually every platform. :!: 20 years old, so? DX is also around 15... :neutral:

DX is favoured because not only MS's backing, but also because microsoft-powered devices (pcs, xbox) are more dominant in the market.

yup, ax3, u can install the latest DX 9.0c (for XP) and the older DX version will jus be replaced by this new version w'out any hassels.. :)
