Well I will be buying a lappy from US with help of a relative I have shortlisted Lenovo Y500 with sli and another a MSI GT60 from xoticpc. The basic differences are:

MSI:- ///// Lenovo Y500 sli:-
1. Full HD matte screen. ///// 1. Full HD LED Glare
2.750GB 5400rpm HDD ///// 2. 1TB+16GB SSD @5400rpm
3.Corei7 3610 model ///// 3. core i7 3630 model
4.Geforce 675m, 2GB ///// 4. Dual Geforce 650m SLI 2GB
5.Blue backlit keyboard ///// 5. Red Backlit keyboard
6. 9 cell smart Li-on Battery ///// 6. 6 cell battery

Some small details such as the msi gt60 is heavy and big, it has extra space for a 2nd hard drive, better cooling technology. While Lenovo has a bad touchpad, Great looks and SSD :-D
Although 675m and 650m SLI are almost same in becnhmarks they are not a deciding factor. SLI Drivers are still not out yet (BETA stage), So I think 650m SLI will catch upto 675m (maybe).
Further Lenovo has a caching SSD so that a huge plus.
Help me decide.

Well matte screen is the best Do you know how much Glare screen will look good? Or cooling specs for Y500?
That's really more of a personal choice. You should go check out both types of screens in the local market( on any good laptops) and decide for yourself.
Check the benchmarks on this page-

NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M SLI - NotebookCheck.net Tech

It won't be as fast the 675M, but it still is good. :)

Just curious, will they be providing warranties valid in India? What if something goes wrong in a week or so?

I have a history of buying goods without warranties and nothing goes wrong ever. My old Dell laptop was the same only DVD burner got bad, my new droid razr too voided my warranty by rooting nothing is has gone bad. I have no problems there. Just being lucky I guess :-D.

but remember one thing Gt 650M SLI would be as equal to GT 675M but SLI is very very power hungry, so the power consumption will be double, My vote goes for MSI, after ASUS i always prefer MSI laptops :)

If u r planning to use the laptop in india, get Lenovo because of service centres(you can change your ELAN touchpad with Synaptics one).

Get MSI if ASS is not a problem & you are comfortable with heavy & bulky laptop.

I think MSI may have better battery life....
