Dilemma amd or intel?

Today i visited atleast 8 shops of computer hardware for assembling a gaming rig. Most of the shop owners suggested me to go with amd FX 4100 processor because of its high ghz, cache and better config than intel. But my friend adviced me to go with intel, but intel is pricer than amd. Is it safe to go with amd processor?

The basic planned components for the rig is:

amd fx 4100(64 bit)
gigabyte 880gm(usb 3.0)
4 gb 1600 mhz ddr3
1 tb 7200 rpm hdd
cooler master cabinet with smps
wifi card/usb

The 880 motherboard has 1 gb of inbuilt graphic memory which i think will be sufficient to run windows 7. I will add graphic card later. Am i missing nething?

Finally it comes to processor which is bothering me.. can ne1 help me out here

Instead get:
* Intel i3-2100
* Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H
* Corsair 4GB DDR3 1333MHz
* WD 1TB Blue
* NZXT Source Elite 210
* Corsair VS-450 PSU

You will get only 150N WiFi cards for under 1k, so its better you get 300N USB WiFi adapter for Rs.750 from TP-Link.
