i brought the digit magzine dec and jan editions! and i found is dvds are faulty! i tried to run on 5 diffrent brands of dvd drives! heck the same result..! i did mailed atlest 5 mails to there crap customer care and hell no reply watts ever!
sleep on grass! have a break! will never buy again!

their customer service is so bad.... even i had such aa bad experience.... i was a subscriber previously. i stopped just because of this....
u have taken a good decision... there will be nothing in that DVD also if it was correctly readable. if u have internet u dont even need digit magazine also i think right???

I do not support these claims for completely sacking a Tech Magazines like Digit. But I also do have some other reasons and summing up all them create a damn discrepancy. :(

Finally I decided to stop buying Digit from January this year after buying for 2 years. I hate to say it but I really stopped. :(

I am not sure why, but my experience with Digit customer care was always nice. I am a Digit subscriber for quite sometime. Once the DVD / CD was missing and I emailed to Digt and on the very next day they wrote a personal email telling I will be getting the DVD / CD within a week. And they kept their promise too.

Did you explain the problem in detail and provided all your contact information plus subscription code etc ? Also, which email address you used ?
 
Yup, me too. My 3 years exp. with Digit CC is fine. I twice got corrupted DVD/Cd and once there was a duplicate CD and no dvd. But calling customer care always helped. i must say, now they don't respond on mail promptly (sometimes never) but on calling the cc number, i always got my problem solved in next 4 working days. May be you should try calling their mumbai cc number before screaming foul foul! (no offence :) )

i already spend more then 300 bucks on all crap stuff! and i have no willingness to call them! heck my 2 cents! you beter dont teach me how work ethics and there commitment is.! i knew very welll !

I am their subscriber from the Vol 1 (then it was named as CHIP), and I am still a subscriber. You are a subscriber for 3 yrs / more.

direfulsky bought Digit for 2 months and says - "you beter dont teach me how work ethics and there commitment is.! i knew very welll !"

Oh well, can't help ! He might be knowing moe than us ;)

din you get to conclussion very soon! i had never been subscriber of the digit.. till they days it was chip! coz i dont think it worth to do that! but i am purchasing from stands from 2003! if u dont have any promlem with them! its ok good! but u dont tell me they are saint! isnt! i hope u get it all clear.!

Yeah, they sometimes do not reply via mail, try the phone, it does work!!
Maybe, you're explaining the right things to the wrong person..., leave him....

@direfulsky: If you have soo many problems with digit, go away, why crib? And why the hell are you on this forum?? Dont make me type things that will go against forum rules now:mrgreen: :twisted:

@ red hat you need to get mature..go back to your nursery school! is i need to tell you! why these forums meant for! you need a tutoriall on that!

I never said they are saint or they are good at every one.

First, we all were trying to help you, like to give suggestions to solve your problem. We thought you posted in this forum to get help and solve the issue. Sorry, we were wrong :(

Second, I never tried to teach you, never tried to say they are best too. I was telling my experience and I think nothing wrong in that ?

Will be great if you mention something - That you want to solve the problem or you want to post against Digit CC - Coz, if thats clear, people will not waste much time on this thread.

And finally, there is another section of this forum where you can interact with Team Digit. May be that will help ?

I've always had a good experience with Digit CC. Even though there were faulty discs now and then, I got a replacement within a week.

Ten days have passed since I mailed them regarding faulty DVD(Feb 08) and till now I haven't got any reply except the computer generated one.

Sometime the services are so crap that CC guys deserve to be abused(not physically/ mentally lol!, but only mild and verbally) for malpractices and cheating by their companies. Some CC guys really help you so beautifully as if you are not customer, but a God.

After all if CC guy is a human, customer too is a human with a limit for patience. I don't know about the situation here. I would like to tell you guys about my good and bad experience with some CCs, though this thread is not the place for it.

Digit CC is good but Digit DVDs always give me trouble. In fact, I've stopped bothering to look at them in a hurry, I take my time, if it doesn't open, take it to college, put it in another drive........

In my case, once my DVD was not working (about 12 months ago). I e-mailed them, I think (may be snail mail). Got an email asking me to send the original DVD. I sent the original the next day itself. After one week, I got a new DVD. After another week, I got a second DVD, both same and both working properly. :D

Ive experienced the same problem with Chip and Pcquest cds...
the best option is to make backup of the dvd on ur hdd..
