difference b/w hub and router?

will speed of net distribute when we connect net in more than one pc through router/hub
and also tell me is their is any difference in wi-fi and wireless net (means speed divide or not???????)

The host PC gets more advantage

Like if a PC is downloading seomething then the Connection on other PCs will slow down but it doesnt happen the other way round.
