Even if its a joke, the whole idea of consoles has been being away from the hassles of upgrading stuff fur long. Look the way PS2s hardware has been utilised to give unbelievably good results on such a low powered device. If you check out a few games on PS2 without any presumptions, I'd bet you'd be surprised. yes.. you are right. If you are a hardcore gamer, going to the console gives you the longevity then going for a PC. After all you are getting a console at a low price then high end PC.
