Development Server under 65K

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')

Ans: Mainly plan to use this as my development server for SharePoint 2013. Will host multiple VM’s using Hyper-V on a Windows 8 host OS. Outside of development VM’s, minor gaming on the side, and usual work related applications like Office, browsing and music etc. Video editing, photo editing not required.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: Ideally would like to spend around 65K, but can stretch by 2-5K more if really required

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 8 Host, Windows 2012 Guest on VM

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: Already have a 128 GB SSD which I would use as a base for either host OS or VM OS. For the rest, a 1 TB HDD should be ok. Would like to go for a 7200 rmp or more

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes. Since this is for development work, screen real estate is required. Probably 22-23 inch should be ok? Want to run this off the HDMI port, would like the monitor to be full HD IPS

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: SSD

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Within this month

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Have done minor tinkering but never assembled a desktop myself. This will be my first self assembly.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Noida. Open to buying online as well

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Would like to use the same platform for the next couple of years at least. As I plan to virtualize, was torn between AMD FX 8350 and i7 4770. However as per anandtech and other reviews, Visual studio and other apps I would use are not optimized for using multiple cores at once, and in normal multithreaded and mixed load scenarios, i7 outperforms FX. So settled on an i7 platform, but open to suggestions.

I have done a first build here Intel Core i7-4770, Cooler Master HAF XB EVO - My Custom Build - anujpant's Saved Part List - PCPartPicker , please advice.

Thanks for all your help.
