My Dell Inspiron 600m does not detect WiFi network and also i cannot access the wireless options through the control panel.I have tried all the drivers that were recommended for the laptop from the dell support site.

You have not installed correct driver for sure. Have seen many wifi problems in Inspiron, but all were due to wrong driver. Dell has messed up drivers listing.
