Dear Friend,
The default BIOS passwords will only work with very old (of the 386s and 486s era) BIOSes. If your motherboard is made after 1998 or so, you are out of luck. however, all mordern motherboard contain password reset jumpers that allow you to reset the password without removing th battery. if you don know a jumper is a 3 pin notch on you motherboard, this one is just near to the battery. Each jumper is SHORTED by a plastic clamp which fits in only two pins of the three. Just remove the clamp and insert it into the other two pins. let it stay there for a while(about 130 secs.) and then replace it on previous pins. Restart the computer. One warning:, like battery removal, jumper shorting also sets all your BIOS settings to default so you willl have to reconfigure your BIOS.
