Decent PSU under 1000 bucks

Hi guys, long time since I last posted here. I recently got a Radeon HD 4650 to boost my old pc(x2 3800, 2gb ddr2, mATX mobo, 500 gb sata hdd). Brilliant little card and actually manages to run on a cheapo 300w psu that came with the case. However, I'm getting the odd system freeze when the gpu is on full load. The card runs pretty cool so it must be the psu. I don't wanna spend much on a psu cos I'm looking to get a completely new system in the near future.

So, any decent local psu's under 1000 bucks you guys can suggest? I don't think Powersafe is available here(Kolkata).

if you're going to buy a new system in the future then you could still buy a good PSU for 3-4.5k now itself.

Unlike most components in a PC the PSU can be used to power up older system to the brand new ones, the power supply rating being a factor depending on the system requirement ^^ the connectors havent changed, only the newer motherboards requiring the additional 4 pins in extra with the 20pin (i suppose) power connector for the motherboard.

so when you buy your new system just plug in the PSU which you might buy now. Buying a good PSU is futureproofed for many years.
