Right off the assembly line
Dear all,

I had stored all my life time work on my 1TB portable western Digital hdd.

Few days back, the disk is corrupt due to bad sectors and though I was able to detect it on my windows 7 machine, it takes too long to retrive any file

chkdsk never completed every for 1/2 day.. so it seems to be a hardware data corruption issues..

Please suggest what best can be done in this case.

You may also pay for cloud storage to handle this kind of problem. It is also a good option to avoid this kind of issues.
