hey guyz , the most unfortunate thing happened to my office comp today , its hard disk crashed and i was not able to load into windows. win xp was installed on the machine. i reinstalled win xp prof on the c: partition formatting it to ntfs. the problem is the d: is corrupt and whenever i boot into windows, scandisk starts and displays some error on the d: drive and it also fixes it and calls it a minor error. but i am not able to see the contents of d from inside windows. when i try to do so "my computer" stops responding.. also the system has become pathetically slow .. i know all this is due to bad hdd and i am getting a new one ...but i want all the data back from my d: drive. plz provide details of how can i recover all the data from the d: drive ... it had mainly autocad drawings. i have not formatted the d: partition and it is the same as it was. i only perfomed a full format of my c: . also the d: is also a ntfs partition.
also i dont think ill be able to install any new programs on this hdd as it has become awfully slow. i will connect it to my home pc and do what u guyz advise.
guyz plz help me out. the data is very very important. thanx in advance.
