Guys i am very interested in data compression.

is it possible to implement Huffman algo using C or Java will be a better option..?

Java will make it easier I think, but if its efficiency you need, C's the way to go.

I'd recommend Python or any other such new languages though. Coding Huffman on them is just a matter of few minutes!
