CPU FAN PROBLEM

i have an intel 915 GAG motherboard. i installed two additional chasis fans on my motherboard but intel active monitor does not detect it nor does the bios. whats the problem

tell me

the new fans u have installed r having there power supply from SMPS or MoBo?
it its former then it wont b detected...
to get detected they should b installed thru MoBo power supply.

ok the fans you have installed are they three wire ones or two wire ones . Check the number of wires between the fan and the connector. Speed is only shown by the three wire fans. Secondly check the mobo mannual and see the pin setup and match with the fans if not same switch wires. Then it will work and the fan rpm will be seen by the software.
