Copy software to another drive

I have 80 gb pata HDD and i want to add another 500gb SATA HDD. What i want to do is make the new 500 gb hdd, the primary by installing new os in there. But i dont want to delete my other softwares in older drive. How can i move all the softwares and files to new drive and make it as it is.

@ OP - can't say if every software will work or not - but simply backup the folders of the softwares you want .. install OS on 500GB HDD .. copy the folders of the softwares on your preferred location .. now make a shortcut of the main exe file of the particular softwares on the desktop .. the softwares should work fine ( most games at-least ) but if some softwares throws up some kind of error message you need to re-install them.

Though it's old, try Norton Ghost.

1. Make a ghost image of ur OS (ie., Backup your OS Drive) from 80GB HDD and write it as *.nrg
2. Install fresh OS in 500GB HDD and install 'Norton ghost'.
3. Restore the .nrg file and replace it with fresh windows.

Your system should have all your previous OS-contents on ths new drive.
