my computer (windows xp SP2, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB HDD) is having the peculier problem. it seems that the system is checking FDD constantly at regular interval of 10 sec routinely. how do i stop this from happening??? it really is making irritation with constant fetching sound...
to get rid of it, i tried shut down but in vain. it seemed the someone had put floppy and in mid of activity, he/she took out the floppy which i think is the cause but it must end after afresh start. isnt it???
is it virus infection?? though there is no revelation of it from my avast AV though.
pls guide...
