hello , am lukin to go 4 a new comp!! so i hv made this config. plz comment on this,and pleeeaaasssee also tell the respective prices of the components i have selected!!
Processor : AMD Athlon 64 FX-55/53 or AMD Athlon 64 4000+
Motherboard : ASUS A8N-E or MSI RS480M2-IL
Graphics card : XFX Geforce 6600 GT 256MB/128Mb or MSI Rx 1300 Pro 256 MB. or GAINWARD GeForce 6200 256 MB
HDD- HITACHI ULTRASTAR (73 GB)
RAM- 512 X 2 (400 Mhz)
Monitor - plz suggest a gud and cheap 17 inch monitor!!
mouse- i BALL
keyboard-Microsoft
Optical drive -Samsung DVD RW
& please suggest a gud ups,cabinet and a pair of speakers!!!!!!

Go for a high end AMD FX processor or for one of the AMD dual core ones. For the motherboard I suggest you go the GigabyteK8NXP SLi cause it rocks! And I think it is only about 300 to 1000 Rs difference with the one you have chosen. That is assuming that it is the Asus A8N SLi one. The XFX 6600 GT, or you could go for the 6800 one? HDD is good. RAM is also good since you're going for 1 gig of it. Make sure it is 400Mhz, cause most RAM mudules say 400Mhz... tis bull! and then when you load up the everest program it says 333 Mhz . I think Kingston is a good choice for an ok gaming machine. Monitor I'd choose from Acer or Samsung or Philips and the rest of the components it up to you. UPS I don't know cause I don't use one. Cabinet should be roomy and well built like the ones from Antec. Speakers should be 5.1 cause the motherboard will give 7.1, 5.1 sound. Lastly get a good PSU at least 550 true power, you may never know if one day you say oh what the heck and then buy a 7800gtx 512MB and quake 4
