Hi,

I have decided on the following configuration to buy:

Processor : Core 2 Duo 2.66Ghz E7300 - (3MB L2 cache 2.66Ghz 1066MHz) @ 5.75K
Mother Board : Intel DQ35JO Intel® Q35 Chipset @ 6.65 K
RAM : 2x2GB Corsair DDR 2 @3.3K
HDD : WD Sata2 500GB @ 2.9K
DVD : Sony 20x Sata @ 1.3 K
Power supply(400W) + Cabinet @ 2.5K

This comes around 22.5K

Please let me know your comments.
I am confused between E7300 and E6850 processor.
Also suggest me if I should go for a bit lower processor (E5200) and get a better MOB (I would prefer a mob from Intel) and gfx card or the above config looks fine.

Budget is around 20-23K.

Bond, Desi Bond!
Processor: E7400 for 300 bucks extra
mobo: Asus P5N73-AM for 3.5k
GPU: Palit 9600GT: 5.5k

My choice would be this:

AMD Phenom 8650 - Tri Core: 4.5k
Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2HP : 4.5k
RAM : 2x2GB Corsair DDR 2 @3.3K
HDD : WD Sata2 500GB @ 2.9K
DVD : Sony 20x Sata @ 1.3 K
Power supply(400W) + Cabinet @ 2.5K

The onboard graphics should be more than enough for you and you get an extra core for video/audio rendering, making this lot lot faster than Intel setup with E7300 and Q35.

And also, you save 3k, which you can spend on something else.

where did u find 4 GB RAM for 3.3K , buddy its 2.2K

Corsair (10 Yr Warranty) DDR 2 CM2X2048-6400C5 (1 X 2GB DDR2 800MhZ C5) @ 1650 from theitwares.com
Let me know where one can get the same for less than 1650

desiibond : ur config. lookg good, but i have a bad experience with AMD, so trying to avoid AMD.

Btw, does any one have an idea about onboard graphics of Intel DQ35JO and also, out of E7400 and E6850 which has better performance? (I guess E6850 has 4MB L2 cache and also the clock frequency is more compared to E7400 which has 3MB L2 cache)
