How's this configuration. I'm going to buy it soon. Its mainly meant for gaming and is it future proof for at least 2 years? Is it enough for playing the latest games or games like GTA 4, Modern Warfare 2 OR I have to upgrade it :
Processor: Phenom II X4 945
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H
Hard Disk Drive: Seagate 1TB 7200.12
Power Supply: Cosair VX 450
Graphics Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 512 MB GDDR2
RAM :2*2 GB DDR2 800 MHz (Corsair)
Cabinet : Cooler Master 690
Optical Drive : LG H55N

The motherboard is total overkill. Change it to Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H.
For processor 955 BE is a much better option.
Change the graphics card to nVidia GTX 460 768MB
and finally change the RAM to kingston 2*2 GB DDR3 1333MHz value RAM

^^ yes. that motherboard total overkill. but going for GTX460 now. it won't be a good move.

@OP, HD5770 comes with 1Gb GDDR5 memory only. also your system will require DDR3, not DDR2 memory.

@bkarankar, wasting so much on a X6 will be a total bad decision when OP clearly mention its going for gaming purpose.

Hey,

i have X6 1090T with Asus Crosshair IV, and i am an extreme gamer. i did not find any other system faster then my system yet.
even X6 1055T is also much better then anything else....

i7 9*** clearly faster than Phenom IIs (X4 or X6), specially in gaming. couple it with 2*GTX460 in SLI. it'll be one hell of a gaming rig.

X6 is best for rendering (as it cost same as i7 9***, but can run on motherboard 1/4th price of X58).
