Checking BB usage

I have BSNL's 900 ULF plan. Though it is unlimited one, but I still want to check usage because it has got a limit: Connection speed 4 MB/s upto 8 GB then, speed would drop to 256 KB/s.

Also, can anyone tell me what download speed would get when the connection speed drops to 256 KB/s, currently I'm getting download speeds varying from ~500 KB/s to ~1000 KB/s.

You said the download speeds will be 50-100kBps--is this true? 100 KBps download speed on a 256KBps connection speed? I think it's just 1/8th of connection speed...so the speed must be around 30 KBps...my cousin has 512KBps connection and he gets ~60 KBps download speed. :-? Then how come 50-100 KBps on 256KBps ??

I think ur email id will be ur "username@bsnl.in" it is an automatic process try it and see
BTW i didn't say 100KB/s i told roughly 50KB/s which can go upto 100 depending on server load what feedback we give is from our personal experience
If u r so smart to figure out the simple math then why to ask in the forum

BTW we r not providing Tech-Support here just voluntarily helping out people

^^Dude, I according to my 'simple maths'...the download speed would be ~30KBps, but I wanted to know the ACTUAL speed one would get on a 256KBps connection from BSNL. For example, currently my connection speed is 4MBps, which means I must get 512KBps download speed, but it's not like that always...it's sometimes (hardly) greater, but mostly wanders in 400-500KBps. So, I what DL speed I would get at 256KBps conn. speed. It might be >30 or <30KBps...but people who have 256KBps connection would better know that...that's why I asked.

If whatever you said is correct and is sourced from your personal exp., then it would be really great!! :D

In our locality maximum people opt for Home250plan which is 256K i am seen 50K downloads on that sometimes 100K also as i told earlier depends on many factors sever load ur phone line etc
