guys,

few days back i bought a cd of normal mosebear cd of 700 MB, but it pumped to 3.7 GB of data, it contained win 3.1, win 95, win98 fe , win98 se, win nt , win 2000, win me, winxp pro, win 2000 pro

i could not understand the tech used, please help me out

its probably an all in one cd that are made using tools like cdimage. you too can make one. google for cdimage and creating all in one cds you should get a couple of links for that... :)

These compilations are possible only because the different apps (e.g 98 and 98se) share some common files. The cd is made by placing the common files in one physical location, but referencing it multiple times thereby making it appear as if they were actually different files in different places.

If you don't have common files in the different apps (or anything else) that you want to place together on one cd, for eg. Win XP and Need for Speed and MP3s, you can't place them together on one cd using this technique.

i had seen a cd of 3.9gb contents with 8 editions of winxp that to with sp1. it was bootable and had many utilities. i think copying a dvd to cd using diskcopy softwares such as clonecd(.001%)

if it really possibles .. then why can't we all giva try damn try hey ! guys if u see something like this then give a try to make such cd.. or ask the one who created it kaash main mumbai ya puna hota yaar .. here in ngp nothing such things came to c.. u ppl r lucky
