You can use any good quality webcam. Buy an USB extension cable and place the Webcam where you want. There are some Softwares available that are capable of taking a photo at certain time intervals (say 5 seconds) for the sake of saving space. Or else you can use continuous video recording.
But the better option is to search for CCTV cameras available in the market. U can buy a TV tuner card with recording function.
