Card reader not working

Hi,

I bought Quantum QHM5088 All in 1 card reader. When I insert it in any pc, it displays a message installing drivers but then nothing happens. There is no usb drive found in my computer. I have tried it in different computers using Win XP and Win 7 but the result was the same. I downloaded and installed drivers from here

Quantum Hi-Tech

but no success. What should I do?

There's a good chance the card reader itself is kaput(as it doesn't work on multiple PC's). Should try it taking back to the shop you bought it from.

Most of the case, card readers are plug and play. Did you try inserting a SD card and check under " My Computer " ?

Bought it from an e-commerce website. They are refusing to take it back. Dang.

I did, inserted like 10 different cards but no usb mass drive was found in My Computer.
