can't update nhl 2002 pls help

hello ppl. i recently got broadband i tried to update my nhl 2002 via the check for updates program. but it gives the following error- castanet_error_http->555.
could someone pls tell me wht is wrong and how do i update it.

OK, the first normal question is whether its a pirated or legal copy or do you happen to be using a no-cd crack for a legal copy.

Secondly, you can visit the game site and directly download the updates from there. Once downloaded, just run the updates and voila, you have the game updated.

its an original cd and i am not usin a no cd crack. the game site also says to update it via the check for updates program.
