Can Installed Vista of one PC run on other PC ?

I have Installed Win98 in one HDD
Using Config
Intel 3.2HT, 865GSA Board and 80GB HDD

Now if I connect that HDD to another PC with another Config
i.e.
Intel Dual Core E2160 - 1.8Ghz, 945 Board
it works fine and run Win98

If I make this HDD Dual boot and Install Vista in it
can Vista run on that Configuration Machine ?

i really doubt that, because Windows only checks your serial number, whereas, u need to activate Windows Vista and this part checks your system for the conf which was originaly associated with the Vista Serial number.
