Can I see my partitions when using hdd casing?

Hi, I am looking to buy a SATA to USB casing for my spare hdd. But I have a doubt. Can I see my existing partitions when I insert the drive into the casing? Or it just appears as one big usb storage device?

if have made partitions then it will be shown when u connect it thru SATA to USB controller
