I own a Panasonic XH 50 HT system

I would like to know if I can replace the DVD Player of this HT with some other DVD Player.Its just that the USB Playback is really crappy on this one plus the input plugs for the cables from speakers are broken.
I asked around in a lot of shops but they are not sure and as a result I am getting varied answers. I even asked a Panasonic technician who came to my house once to fix the dvd playback and he said I can replace it with a Panasonic DVD player only.
Does anyone know about this?
