can i get this ata hdd enclosures....

i have a spare hdd but no ide slots... i have heard of Drive Enclosures... what are these.. can i get case for inserting my hdd and then use it from usb port.....

if anyone have any idea lease answer..... i want to buy one... how much will it cost

ide is max 133mbps !
sata 150 mbps
so how does that make usb slow

Ya thats what i meant. I have an external hdd casing for my hdd. and my mobo have only usb 1.1. It is damn slow that i've stopped using it. But it works fine in many of my friends machine which have usb 2.0

the intel 865 board does support usb 2.0 and u gan get a hdd enclosure from INTEX for around Rs 500-600.

Actually have 2 ide drives and 1 dvd rw and i am buying 915 gavl mobo and it had only 2 sata port where as i want to use one for sony dvd rw.. hence i think this would be my best option to go for... what say
