Currently I own Moto G 2nd generation, which is around 10 months old.

I want 5-5" full HD screen, Snapdragon 615, 4G, decent camera and better dev support, like more number of custom rom..

So far I have short listed Xiaomi mi4i, Yu yureka plus, Moto G 3rd generation.

Please help me with your suggestions and experience

Fill the questionnaire so that forum members can help you. By the way Moto G 3rd generation processor is not confirmed.Probably be SD 410 according to some leaks. Being a moto it will have dev support.

My question is
1. Is it worth switching to yu yureka plus/mi4i from moto g 2nd generation?
2.if it worth, then which one should I choose?

Camera is definitely better on the yureka& dev support is also decent...reportedly, moto g 3rd gen has 2 versions.

1. Why do you want to switch your phone? If its for camera, get Mi4i

2. Xiaomi Mi4i

Yureka plus would have better dev support but post processing of its camera software is questionable. Do check reviews before buying.
Mi4i has a good camera with battery life better than Yureka plus

I am not changing for camera. I am looking for a better phone for multitasking and gaming. Moto g 2nd generation does a decent job, but it can't handle heavy games that good. So, I am looking for a replacement.

I have checked my friends mi4i yesterday. I didn't like miui at all. Camera looks good in bright light, but it produces too much grain in low light. Even moto g doesn't produce that much grain in same condition.
So, I would love to hear from someone who used yu yureka plus.

With oneplus two launched, hope there will be bit price drop on one. If this really happens I may go for oneplus one

16GB Oneplus one might get a price cut to 15k from 18k

The good thing with android is customizablity, so you can always use a 3rd party launcher
(I installed Nova launcher in my dad's Honor 4X & my friend who is having Redmi 2 has also done the same)
I don't think there is any situation where Moto G's camera would triumph Mi4i's cam. Just tinker with settings a bit & you would be able to get less noisy pics.

P.S. : Even my Z3 compact produces noisy images if I take pic of something in dark. I have seen lesser noise than that in good digi cams. So noise in low light is inevitable

Mi4i camera is definitely way better than moto g
I just expected little bit better low light performance from mi4i

And I am talking about miui only because mi4i doesn't have many custom rom option. So, I have to basically stick to miui, which I don't like.
I was quite optimistic about moto g 3rd generation, but Motorola did disappoint me quite a bit. I expected it to have same specs like mi4i....but it didn't happen.

Still 2GB RAM version of Moto G 3rd gen is a good buy at 13k..... Definitely Samsung, Sony, LG won't be able to compete with it..... Xiaomi is a tough competitor for sure

Mi4i might get stable CM roms n other ROMs in future

If you need SD card, Yureka Plus else Mi 4i.

Better option would be to wait for Oneplus One 64 GB price drop or go with Mi 4 64 GB version.

4g will need a year minimum for pan india roll out and good (if possible FUP free) plans.

Galaxy J7 will have hanging issues. and has 720p screen.

Mild heating is during intensive tasks only. Normally Yureka runs at ~38 *C (don't know about plus version)

I don't think so..... My friend's Grand Prime is smooth (smoother than Redmi Note which he sold after using for just a month)
Nowadays Samsung puts lighter version of Touchwiz in low & mid end phones (S4 might be the cheapest phone with all Samsung softwares)

Still, I won't recommend J7 until n unless you are too much brand conscious
Moto G (3rd gen) is better (2GB RAM one)

Otherwise you can opt for Mi4i 32GB
Yureka plus would have bad battery life as they bumped the screen resolution to 1080p without increasing battery capacity.
You can check Lenovo K3 Note too
