Buying a portable hard disk.

I wanna buy a new ext portable hard disk of minimum 1TB. I have a budget of around 5k. I saw some cool deals on flipkart and croma online. Please suggest a good drive without the need for external power and which can provide good speeds. I saw some PCI-X to USB3 expansion cards, that add usb3 ports to a pc. Now i only have one PCIX16 slot and my nv gfx is hooked with it. Now is there any way to get usb3 ports on my pc? My mb is intel DH55TC. I think it has normal PCI ports. Can they be used for usb3 expansion. Please tell me fast

*edit: can i use the SATA ports on the mb to connect usb 3.0 devices using some sort of SATA to USB3.0 connectors or adapters?

External Hard drive prices have cooled down by 50% almost.
Best deal going on rite now is Seagate Backup Plus 1 TB drive black color on flipkart.You are getting 500 rs leather pouch with that freeee.. grab it before the deal closes.Plus the drive is super smooth and small like a wallet to fit in.
I dont know abt USB 3.0 .I am just just suggesting you as i have myself recently purchased it.
