Right off the assembly line
I bought an XFX 9600gt 512 in december last year. And a few days back it blew up burning my mother board in the process. The motherboard warranty is definitely voided.
I know that graphic card manufacturers do not replace bunt products, but the customer care guy says it burnt out due to the card being seated in the PCI-e slot wrongly.
Here are my doubts-
1-If a card was seated improperly, would it function for 6 months without a single blue screen, crash or other issues?
2-The card was bought for watching movies. If a card such as the 9600 gt blows up while playing movies 2-3 hrs a day, what cahnce to the high end cards have?
3-I had a 500w PSU which meets the requirements specified by the manufacturer.Any problem there?
Please help me out.I already have a hole in my pocket replacing my motherboard.
