Building a new high end gaming PC, lots of questions

Hello,
My four years old Core 2 Duo is getting a little long in the tooth.

I am planning a major upgrade to a Core i5 based rig.

A blueprint of the specifications:

2nd generation Core i5 (i5-2500K)

Z68 chipset based motherboard (Asus / MSI / Gigabyte)

8 / 16 GB dual channel Corsair Dominator dual channel kit

A good performance SSD to complement my main Hard Drive

A Barracuda XT 2TB

A high-end cabinet (Corsair Obsidian / Antec P193... need more choices here)

Corsair AX850 Power Supply

Single Radeon HD6970 / Geforce GTX 580/570

A really nice S-IPS monitor, is the Dell U2311H a good choice?

Windows 7 64bit

My questions:

1. Which is the best Z68 board out there? Has the Z68 hit retail in India?

2. Are online stores like TechShop.in - Buy Tech Online Now!!! and Theitdepot - India's First IT Online Shopping Store reliable?

3. Is the OCZ Vertex 3 available in India? Can anybody suggest better alternatives?

4. Which is the best Nvidia graphics card vendor? Which GTX 580 should I buy? If I go for Radeon, I will get a Powercolor.

5. Which premium cabinet should I go for? Some of the tool-less cabinets cannot support heavy dual slot graphics cards well. My own experience tells me that the clips often cannot support the weight of a heavy graphics card, which sags under gravity, putting strain on the slots. I like the provision for screws here.

6. Is that 850W Corsair power supply enough? I think so, as I have a single GPU.

7. Can anyone offer further choices for S-IPS displays? I am tired of TN + Film.

2. Yes these are reliable but offer high price than original, so better purchase from any street shop

4. Well eVGA/MSI/ASUS are best nvidia manufacturer & for AMD -Sapphire/MSI/ASUS are the best (MSI GTX 580 Lightning/MSI HD 6970 Lightning)

5. It depends on your budget, you can buy NZXT Phantom if you can afford

Hello,

I am having a hard time locating dealers for Corsair / NZXT / SilverStone / Antec cases in Kolkata.

Only Cooler Master seems to be available.

How do Corsair Obsidian, SilverStone and Antec P193 compare with each other?

A Corsair VX550 can mostly handle a 2600K and a single high-end GPU with moderate OC on both.
Have used 2x AX750 in 2x 2600K rigs- one with HD6970 DirectCU II and one with GTX580 DirectCU II. :)
AX850 is a gem- though i wish it were priced a tad lower.
Do not get scared if you find the PSU fan not running when the pc is idling or under low load. :p

And as Manju sir said, if you afford an Obsidian 800D, nothing like it.
The Graphite 600T is good too.
