i am planning to buy a new machine

my budget is around 70k (YO !!)

i will get an assembled one ..

froma dealer in pune (pls advise)
17" LCD monitor(which company? in 19" available)
2 gb DDR transcend ram (company? hz? DDR2 ?)
p4 3.2 HT or AMD 3200+ ? (abt the same price)
mobo (for both the above)
2 x gforce 6600GT (1 better one or 2 in SLi ?)
2 x 160 gb hdsk (SATA? or seagate barracuda ? 7200 or 10500 ?)
DVD writer(company?)

i am a hardcore gamer .. i play on LAN as well as single player games .. on top of that i well need a good-multitasking system and i also do a lot of video compressionas well ....

u will get a better machine at 70 k...
AMD 3500+ ... DONT GO FOR SLI UNLESS U HAVE 6800 GTS....opt for a 6800 gtnoe nd add another one when price falls..
Rather get 2 or more sata hdds nd arrange them in raid..this will give u more performance...
Nd if u want to play game then why lcd...crts are better at this..still

for mobo get msi nforce 4 sli setup...
DVD Writer get benq
For ram u better get kingston or corsair duo.

also i just read up on pentium X processors .. shd i go for them instead ??

what abt ddr2 ?
