1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run?
Ans:80% playing games (in order) like BF3, Sleeping dogs, Crysis 3, Tomb raider and Black flag and GTA V(if it arrives on PC) and other upcoming games. Remaining 20% for browsing, music, movies and general uses. No productive tasks, only some C++ programming for civil engg.

2. What is your overall budget?
Ans:47k-50k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:Not the CPU, only the GPU after a year or so.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:Windows 7, 64bit.

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:500GB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Don't want to buy a monitor, will be gaming at 1920x1080.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Monitor, IO, UPS. Can scavenge HDD if really needed.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: March 20.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:Live in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. Will be buying online or will get from Vedant as some guys recommend.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I will be buying this PC for my brother who is studying Engineering for his birthday. He doesnt really get good gifts so wanted to surprise him this time:D
It would be great if there will be a 7950 Vapor-X at this price, without sacrificing the HDD. Want it to be playable(50-60) FPS for a few upcoming games in 1-3 years, I know that we cant say what will happen.... If you can, please dot try to touch 49-50k mark. And yes one more thing, he likes Intel, I told him AMD provided better CPU's at great price, but he always hears that i5 is best for gaming. But still can go with the AMD alternative.

What I thought-
I would really like to buy him the tempest 410, due to the looks.
And AMD Never settle bundle is also catching my eye.

Nice config...
Will be getting 4gb ram and will tell him to buy a stick later, because he is not into editing or that kind of stuff so 4gb is enough IMO.
Yes I decided im not going for an HDD, will let him buy with his own money
So can you suggest good Motherboard and proccy?
The things I liked the most are-
SAPPHIRE GRAPHICS CARD HD 7950 VAPOR-X 3GB DDR5 OC @ 21.5k
Corsair CMPSU-500CXV2UK 500 Watts PSU @ 4k
G.skill RAM- 1.7k
Elite 430 plus or 431 Elite or Gamma or source 210- Around 3k
total- 30k

So can you please suggest me Mobo plus Proccy combo for 20k...(& please tell me will the processor block the GPU or not)

^^ When running a 64-bit OS and running heavy games like BF3 , Crysis etc . The whole system can go to as high as 6GB usage.

My Advice-
Intel Core i5-3570 @12.4k
(You should try and get a high clock speed as you wont be able to overclock it)
MSI ZH77A-G41 @6k
(A great Motherboard, it has everything one will ever need and a good price tag)
G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 4 GB (1 x 4 GB) @ 1.7k
Seasonic S12II 520 @4k

(When going with a high-end GPU ,this is one component you should not compromise in)
NZXT Source 210 @3k
Sapphire HD 7950 Vapor-X 3GB GDDR5 OC-22.5k

Total - 49.8k

You should consider getting another stick of RAM.
Cooler Master K380 looks like a very good cabinet and is prices at 3.2k . Here is a link *www.theitdepot.com/details-Cooler+Master+K380+USB+3.0+with+Side+Window+ATX+Mid+Tower+Computer+Case+for+APAC+only+%28RC-K380-KWN1%29_C5P15958.html

+1, 3570 is not required as base clock boost makes little difference. games like bf3 take upto 4gb ram alone, so its better to stick with 8 gig.

Nah. Not a crysis fan, And 50k for Mobo+Ram+CPU+GPU+Cabinet+PSU

nzxt cases are more vfm than starting cooler master series. its better to buy a 1 tb hdd if he decides to buy ... because 500 gb costs 3k and 1tb = 4k, so its more vfm.

any decent quad core processor from the i5 lineup or the amd fx 8350 will not bottleneck the gpu.

i would have suggested the i7 3820, but its better to go for a 3770k if you want to spend more on a processor and mobo.

core i7 3770 @ 16.5k
MSI H61M-P20 (G3) Motherboard @ 2.5k
G.Skill NT DDR3 4 GB (1 x 4 GB) PC RAM (F3-10600CL9S-4GBNT) x 2 @3k
SAPPHIRE GRAPHICS CARD HD 7950 VAPOR-X 3GB DDR5 OC @ 21k
1TB Toshiba HDD @ 3.9k
Corsair CMPSU-500CXV2UK 500 Watts PSU @ 4k
NZXT Gamma @ 2.5k

total : 49.5k

but if your primary task is gaming, get an i5 3450 or a 3470 because they feature neck to neck with the 3770 in gaming. So its useless to spend more on a processor.

this should be your final config :

i5 3450 @ 10k
ASRock B75M / Gigabyte B75M @ 4k
G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) PC RAM (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL) @ 4k
HD 7950 Vapor-X 3GB @ 21.5k
Seasonic S12II 520 @ 4k
nzxt gamma @ 2.5k

if you are feeling rich, add a small 128gb SSD

Thank you very much :)

But he wont need more than 300GB because his 320gb HDD isnt full yet. (3 years now).

Yes I like to go with the i5 config...

And what is the difference between the 3450 and a 3570? is there a big gap? I would like to spend full 50k to get the best system so please tell me the difference

And does 210 have good airflow? he lives in a hot place

@rajatgod52
@harshilsharma63

Thank you very much :)
I dont need the HDD btw, and yes one more question will there be more than 5-7 fps difference in games between 7870 Xt and the 7950 boost??

Intel i5-3570 vs Intel i5-3470 in Processors (CPUs)

there is no performance difference, only a base clock difference. 210 is also a good cabinet, 1 120mm fan is included.

yes, but you need 120mm fans. for good cooling, install 2 fans in the front, and one on the top.

The Sapphire 7950 Vapor is like an under-clocked HD 7970 , when you overclock it then you can beat HD 7970 and GTX 680 .
