I want to buy a budget gaming laptop to stand the test of time for at least 2 years. Here are the details:

1) What is your budget?
50-60k INR

2) What size notebook would you prefer?
c. Thin and Light; 13" - 14" screen
d. Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

3) Which country will you buying this notebook?
India

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
a. Like: HP (very much)
b. Dislike: Acer
Also I am a skeptic of Dell as I dont like the build quality of most of their laptops, but then again I have only seen mostly their budget ones. And I simply LOVE HP!

5) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Computing intensive programming like Image Processing
3D modelling with 3ds Max, etc...
Gaming! Heavily! Although I intend to do that only when connected to power so no battery issues there.
Viewing HD content (posibly FHD if the resolution is there)

6) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?
Both, but most of the times its on the desk.

7) Will you be playing games on your notebook? If so, please state which games or types of games?
Yes, and I would like to play all the state of the art FPS that have come out recently.

8) How many hours of battery life do you need?
3-4 hours, but if there is a choice, I would prefer a 9-cell.

9) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?
I would be OK with buying online, iff the reviews are good.

10) What OS do you prefer? Windows (XP or Vista or Windows 7), Mac OS, Linux, etc.
I prefer Win 7 Prof. or Ulti.

11) What screen resolution(s) would you prefer?
I would like FHD resolution, but if thats an overkill then i can do for less.

Legend Never Ends
Gaming for 2 years @ Full HD is not possible in a lappy at this budget. Get a destop instead. Games are eveolving everyday. The tax a GPU like anything. A laptop GPU at this price will give you a mac 2 gb GT540m. It's a great no doubt. But at full HD gaming I am not very sure.

Living to Play
At you budget you can't expect full HD games on a laptop but you can expect that on desktop. Anyways Dell XPS series will be best for this purpose.

Dell XPS15 sucks for gaming. Get the HP DV6 6017TX or 6121TX for 48k to 54k.
Its got
i7 2630QM
4GB
640GB HDD
HD6770M (99% games on high) & Intel HD3000 (Switchable graphics)

Its only HD though.
Battert life of 5hrs on general usage, 2 -3 hrs while gaming.
