broadband problem

My broadband conn freezes for some time with loss of both dsl and internet yellow signal from my modem, the modem is type 2 modem, my phone line isnt proper either with noise. It returns to normal state after some time but it annoys bcoz i use the BB 500 plan, so can't download anything

can anyone tell what the problem is? I am dumb with these things

p.s Bsnl service ppl in the office suck, they have no idea wht they are doing and not helpful either.

the BSNL guys can only help you in these "noisy line" problems. goto your modem configuration page and post your SNR up/down and attenuation up/down values. also ask your neighbors if they are facing this problem as it can be a area problem(may be due to rain) or from exchange.

check for parts of wire which has been joined using a tape or open joints. there is nothing more you can do. so register a complaint with 198 and wait for a week till a BSNL guy comes.
