hi all , I bought a 2nd hand PC from a fellow member in this digit forum .
Now the config is like this ( I bought only the cabinet & keyboard , mouse):

:confused::D

AMD 3200+ ( its a 64 bit athlon )
msi motherboard rs 482 ILD
1 gb ddr ram
LG dvd ram drive
zebronics cabinet with the rear fan dosent work
sony floppy drive
:roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::twisted:

logitech simple keyboard
and a frontech optical mouse
:)
Now I am going to buy sound systems , graphics card and the monitor .

for sound system I am going to buy ATP3 of altec lansing .
For monitor any 17 or 19 " LCD .

now for graphics card , one of my elder sister's friend just now told me that ( after reading the motherboard book ) that I have to buy ATi card . another friend is telling me that ATI card is not so up-to-date for new games . all these remarks are causing :mad:too much confusion for me . Another one just told me that crt monitor is good for games , but in different games conpetetion I saw they have LCDs . so i am very confused about graphics card mainly .

I have a similar configuration to you, I use an ATI Radeon 9250 which isn't the best graphics card going, it certainly wont play Oblivion and other games like that but if your okay playing lower spec games it's good to get. Im not sure if your motherboard would support an Ati Radon 9500+ but you should certainly look into it.

Hey dude look at my siggy...its the exact same config.
There was a problem with 480 chipset that it only supports ATi cards but this motherboard, absolutely rocking!

i am using 6800GS and by far its not giving any trouble.

If u really want to buy ATi card then buy HD 2600XT otherwise higher than this.

For LCD, yes monitor was considered the better with the games because of the low response time of LCDs. In monitor there is no such thing as response time. But now days LCDs are coming even with 2 ms response time, which is a great for gaming.
Also monitors are more power consuming than LCDs although they are cheaper then them, but also heavier and more space acquiring.

So don't worry buy LCD and enjoy ur gaming!

@AquaWolf
what are ya suggesting??A card[9500] which dun even haf Sm2.0 and is not a PCIE?
@dearkumar
Dat mobo dun haf ny issue with nvidia cards. So get an 8600GT or as keith_j_snyder said, get an HD2600Pro or XT.
It wud be hard to find HD series in India, so da easy way is to get nvidia cards.
