Does any body know whether there is any way to block online videos (the likes of YouTube, GoogleVideos, Video advertisements etc)?

Thank you.

I don't know for sure if this works... But there r 2 options I would try
1) install Adblock Plus plugin for firefox and when u see this flash/video presentation and u hover ur mouse on it, there is a small "block" button displayed on the top.. try it. although i dont know if its video/site specific.

2) try uninstalling the video codec plugin/swf required for playing the online streaming videos...

+1, it will disable the base .swf file from YouTube which is used for playing .flv videos and will work. But this is going to be only for Firefox......

Also, you can try this: *www.admuncher.com/. I don't know whether we can create Custom Blockings like in AdBlock Plus, if we can create than it is going to be for every browser.:D I haven't tried this as it is not a freeware and I use only firefox.

Never be annoyed by a Flash animation again! Blocks Flash so it won't get in your way, but if you want to see it, just click on...

Flashblock is an extension for the Mozilla, Firefox, and Netscape browsers that takes a pessimistic approach to dealing with Macromedia Flash content on a webpage and blocks ALL Flash content from loading. It then leaves placeholders on the webpage that allow you to click to download and then view the Flash content.

Flashblock currently blocks the following content types:
* Macromedia Flash
* Macromedia Shockwave
* Macromedia Authorware
