Blinking monitor

Am writing this for my friend...he was watching a video and all of sudden video got stuck,pc also became unrespons so he restarted and now its just showing a blinking monitor help

What do you mean by the phrase 'blinking monitor'.

And post the full specification of the rig.

The green light just keeps blinking after 1sec and the cpu seems to be booting. Config-1gb ddr2 ram,mb-m2v-mx se ,psu-350w gpu-nvidia 630 something

Seems like a GPU problem. Try inserting the GPU in another machine and check if it is working.

Also check up your SMPS.

If smps doesn't work the pc wont hav tat green light na??

If SMPS cab't supply the requred amount of power, then PS would be ON but there won't be any display.

You can check GPU for any problem and use iGPU to see whether the problem continues or not.

looks like the resolution went out of sync, which OS do you use?

do you get POST screen? if yes then start OS in safe mode and reset display resolution to the native resolution.

When he remvd the ram &put it bak on..it bootd showing the mb model screen name and two options 1)press del for setup and 2) tab for post...whichever he tested he got reboot and select proper device

If BIOS screen is coming up one specific RAM module and it isn't coming up with using other modules, then it might be RAM problem. Although ore info needed to be sure about that.
